Wedding Poem

Let me share this beautiful poem a friend made for me and my fiance.. specially made for our upcoming wedding.. Thanks Father Eric!

BECAUSE THERE IS YOU
Two eyes met, two lives crossed paths,
and the future was never the same again.
You and I were once just one among others
lost amidst a sea of human beings.

But then one day our lives entwined,
our minds met, and our hearts began to meld
as we started a journey that would lead us
to this day so special in our lives.

Because there was you,
life became more meaningful.
Each day became more colorful
and filled with the warmth of your love.

Because there was you,
my hopes and dreams came true.
Never again would i face tomorrow
without the fear you won't be there.

Because there was you,
i looked forward to a brighter tomorrow
while your hands held mine
as we journeyed through life together.

And now on this most solemn of days
when we bind ourselves together,
I thank you for all the things you've done.
I thank you for all the time you've given me.
I thank you for all the love you showered me.

To the past, i look with joy.
To our future I look forward with hope.
For I know that what lies ahead
will be more beautiful than today
because there is you.
